Naval Engagement! TM Naval Engagement! is a mid 1980s unclassified tactical naval warfare simulator and training system. It is a Multi-Player non real time turn-based simulation featuring:
MRA Moderated Play (If desired) Contains a wide variety of sensors and weapons including: Radars, Sonars, Missiles, Guns, Torpedos, ESM, ECM, Chaff, Foxers
This version allows pilots to interact with the simulation and perform functions never before available such as using a helo to drop sonobuoys to locate, track, and destroy submarines. The pilot can also watch as missiles fly between ships, launch chaff, and many other exciting real-time events This work is being accomplished for the Virtual US Navy - http://www.vusn.org In addition to this, Underway! will be able to communicate with Flight Simulator ships allowing a ship driver to interact with aircraft in real-time. The system, as of 2 FEB 2006, is now capable of interacting with the SH-60B, S-3B, and F/A-18.
